SURVEY RESEARCH

Surveys That Capture What Singapore Actually Thinks

Assembled is a Singapore-based market research agency founded in 2016 by Felicia Hu. Our survey research draws on a proprietary panel of 100,000+ members across six ASEAN markets, with 600+ projects completed for brands entering, launching, and growing in Southeast Asia. Every survey is designed, fielded, and analysed by senior researchers who understand Singapore's multilingual, multicultural consumer landscape.

Online Surveys

Our online surveys reach respondents across Singapore within days. We programme surveys in English, Mandarin, Malay, and Tamil, with logic branching that adapts to each respondent's profile. Quota sampling based on Singapore's population data ensures your results reflect the country's actual demographic composition, not just the people easiest to reach.

We handle everything from questionnaire design through data cleaning and cross-tabulation. Typical turnarounds run 7 to 10 business days from approved questionnaire to topline results, with full reporting following within 2 weeks.

Intercept and Field Surveys

Some questions need to be asked in context. Our field teams conduct intercept surveys at malls, clinics, retail outlets, F&B locations, and transit hubs across Singapore. Trained interviewers work in English, Mandarin, and Malay, capturing responses on tablets with real-time data upload.

Intercept surveys are especially valuable for location-specific research, such as measuring foot traffic patterns, store experience satisfaction, or post-purchase sentiment at the point of sale. We manage permits, interviewer scheduling, and quality control.

Mixed-Method Designs

Numbers tell you what. Conversations tell you why. Our most impactful projects combine survey data with qualitative depth from focus groups or in-depth interviews. The survey quantifies the pattern. The qual unpacks the reasoning behind it.

A typical mixed-method programme starts with exploratory qual to identify the right questions, moves to a survey for scale and statistical confidence, then returns to qual for deeper probing of the most surprising findings. This layered approach gives you evidence that holds up in boardrooms and investor presentations.

Brand Tracking and Longitudinal Studies

Brand health, customer satisfaction, NPS, and awareness tracking require consistent methodology wave after wave. We design tracking programmes with stable cores and flexible modules, so you can monitor trends while also probing emerging issues each quarter.

Our panel infrastructure supports re-contact for longitudinal studies, allowing you to follow the same cohort over time. This is particularly valuable for measuring the impact of campaigns, product launches, or market entry activity in Singapore.

FROM BRIEF TO BOARDROOM

How a Survey Project Works

STEP 01
Scoping and Design
We align on research objectives, define your audience segments, and design the questionnaire. Every question earns its place.
Week 1
STEP 02
Programming and Pilot
The survey is programmed with logic branching and translated into your required languages. We run a soft launch with 20 to 30 respondents to catch any issues before full fieldwork.
Week 2
STEP 03
Fieldwork
Responses flow in from our panel with daily monitoring of quotas, completion rates, and data quality. We flag anomalies and replace low-quality responses in real time.
Weeks 2 to 3
STEP 04
Analysis and Reporting
Topline findings within 5 business days of field close. Full report with cross-tabulations, segment analysis, and strategic recommendations. Felicia presents directly to your team.

What makes our surveys different. Most online panels in Singapore are rented from global aggregators. Our panel of 100,000+ members was built over 10 years through direct project participation. Members are profiled, verified, and regularly refreshed. That means higher completion rates, more thoughtful responses, and data you can trust. Assembled is recognised by Clutch and GoodFirms among Singapore's leading research agencies, and our methodology draws on standards set by the Market Research Society (MRS UK) and ESOMAR.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Survey Research FAQ

How much do surveys cost in Singapore?
Online survey studies start at SGD 3,800 for a standard single-market programme. This covers questionnaire design, bilingual programming, panel recruitment from our 100,000-member panel, quota sampling, data cleaning, cross-tabulations, and a presentation-ready report. Intercept surveys with trained field interviewers start at SGD 8,000. Mixed-method programmes combining surveys with focus groups or in-depth interviews start at SGD 15,000. All pricing is fixed-fee with no hidden charges.
How long does a survey project take?
Most online survey projects run 3 to 4 weeks from approved brief to final report. Week 1 covers scoping and questionnaire design. Week 2 handles programming, translation, and pilot testing. Weeks 2 to 3 are fieldwork. Topline findings arrive within 5 business days of field close, with the full report following in week 4. Intercept and mixed-method projects typically take 5 to 7 weeks. Expedited timelines are available for time-sensitive projects.
What languages can the survey be conducted in?
We programme and field surveys in English, Mandarin, Malay, and Tamil. Bilingual surveys (English and Mandarin) are our most common configuration, reflecting Singapore's primary language usage. We handle all translation, back-translation, and cultural adaptation in-house. For regional studies, we extend to Bahasa Indonesia, Thai, Vietnamese, Japanese, and Korean through verified translation partners.
Can you survey specialist or hard-to-reach audiences?
Our 100,000-member panel includes high-net-worth individuals, healthcare professionals, C-suite executives, premium consumers, and insurance policyholders, built through 10 years of direct project participation since 2016. For niche B2B audiences, we supplement panel recruitment with targeted outreach. We have fielded surveys among medical specialists, IT decision-makers with purchasing authority, luxury watch collectors, and parents of children with specific health conditions.
How is a survey different from a focus group?
Surveys give you the "what" and "how many" with statistical confidence. Focus groups give you the "why" through conversation and group dynamics. Surveys are best when you need to quantify attitudes, track metrics over time, or compare segments with statistically significant differences. Focus groups are best when you need to understand motivations, test reactions, or explore a topic you do not fully understand. Most of our projects combine both methods for the strongest evidence base.
What deliverables do I receive?
Topline findings within 5 business days of field close. Full report with cross-tabulations, segment analysis, statistical significance testing, and strategic recommendations. Raw data file (SPSS, Excel, or CSV). Presentation-ready PowerPoint deck. Interactive dashboard for tracking programmes. Felicia presents findings directly to your team, including stakeholders who were not involved in the design phase.
Do you run surveys for companies outside Singapore?
Approximately 40% of our survey clients are companies entering Singapore from the US, Europe, China, Japan, and Korea. We coordinate multi-country survey programmes across up to 8 ASEAN markets. We also serve as a local fieldwork partner for global research agencies running multi-market studies that include Singapore. Our market entry research page explains how we support international teams.
